Which American Accent Do You Have?

Again with the quizzes? Oy, vey. I admit – I find them entertaining. This one is actually right on the money. I was born in the New York City area and lived there till I was 13, so this quiz got it right. Yes, I still say “tawk” for “talk” and “dawg” for “dog”, but I have pretty much assimilated the California accent, which is too bad because I really enjoy sounding different from everyone else around me!

I apologize to my overseas readers, I don’t have a quiz for different countries. But it might be fun to try anyway…I’m guessing many English speakers will get “Boston”.

    and all the ‘a’ vowels get distorted..by you of course, we have the true way of speaking!!
    It’s fun, but due to your US movies invading our TV, the difference is fading..a pity.
